John Rago named President of Rainmaker

John Rago Joins Rainmaker as President

Rainmaker Cloud (Reston, VA, www.rainmakercloud.com), a leader in cloud technology enablement helping clients transform their businesses through the optimum application of key platforms including Salesforce, Amazon Web Services, Google Apps and various SaaS solutions, has named John Rago its new president. Rago will draw on a proven track record in diverse senior level positions where he successfully leveraged strong leadership, technical, process optimization and business development skills to drive measurable success across key performance indicators.

Rago last served as Managing Director, Growth & Strategy with LiquidHub (New York, NY), an American multinational corporation focused on helping customers attract, acquire and retain customers through enhanced engagement. At LiquidHub, Rago led all aspects of the firm’s Salesforce practice, delivering high performance go-to-market strategies and then managing the sales and client relationship, building those into high value accounts. 

Other recent positions included his role as a Partner with Appirio (New York), where he positioned the company as a strategic partner in digital and cloud technology adoption to leading banks, wealth management firms, insurance companies and capital markets businesses. Additionally, he served as Director of Client Solutions with Silverline (New York, NY), where his deep understanding of data normalization principles and integration technologies facilitated an accelerated sales cycle, improved client solutions and maximum project profitability. While serving as Director of Business Development with Perficient, Inc. (New York, NY) he consistently outperformed his sales quotas earning him multiple “Salesperson of the Year” honors. Other key roles rounding out his executive experience include those with Salesforce.com, Linx Communications, Protect International and Cambridge Technology Partners. In these roles, he worked closely with leading brands such as Fleet Bank, GMAC Real Estate, Kraft Foods, and Office Depot.

Rago’s technical acumen extends over many platforms ranging from Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud, to ETL Middleware, Visualforce, ZHTML, XML, XSL, CSS, Javascript, PHP and SQL, among others.

Rago holds a Bachelor of Arts, Environmental Science from Lehigh University.

He resides in Belle Terre, NY.
